what to wear

Please wear a full skirt, pantaloons, loose pants, or yoga pants, paired with a hip scarf and a short top, choli top, or leotard. It is important to choose something comfortable for your practice.

Avoid wearing a jingly or noisy hip scarf, as it can be distracting during class. In the dance studio, only bare feet or dance shoes are allowed. Black ballet slippers by BLOCH are an excellent choice and can be found at Assemble' Dancewear 719-596-8443 or on Amazon.

Investing in a quality pair of zils (finger cymbals) is essential, just like with any musical instrument.
You can purchase brass Afghani zils for around $70 online, or you may bring your own.

I also recommend bringing a water bottle to stay hydrated.
Please keep your hair up (in a ponytail or bun) so I can see your posture. Lastly, please
do not chew gum during class.
